Dear Mikey,

You are one of the REAL heroes.  You worked hard and put up with a lot during the time you and I worked together as Chaplain Assistants with the 102nd.  You did a good job and you gave your all.  I hope the little I taught you helped in some small way and I want you to know how proud I am to have served with you.  Rest in peace my brother - you will not be forgotten.

Peace and love,

Geoff

Ryan's Well Foundation

Ryan’s Well Foundation is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to provide clean water, proper sanitation facilities and related hygiene education to water-poor people in developing countries through engagement with local partners. The Foundation educates individuals, schools, corporations and other service organizations locally and internationally to create awareness about water related issues and those with limited access to resources. We strive to motivate present and future leaders to realize their own global citizenship. Ryan Hreljac, at 6 years of age, was inspired by lessons learned in his grade 1 class about children who don’t have clean water. Since that day he has been driven to spread his message of clean water for all and that anything is possible if you really try and work really hard. Now, 10 years later, his message has reached around the globe and he continues to work towards his dream of clean water for all through the work of his Foundation. http://www.ryanswell.ca

Please Help Fight Human Trafficking Around the World

Human Trafficking is slavery.  Slavery has been officially abolished in most nations around the world however slavery has re-emerged as today's human trafficking.  Many victims of this new slavery have been lured into a cycle of bondage and indenture by promises of immigration, employment and a better life but have instead found lies and misery.

Human trafficking is occurring RIGHT NOW in almost every corner of the globe and in many different forms, including the Internet.  Please visit the following websites to find out how you can help combat human trafficking around the world:

Loose Change to Loosen Chains

Founded by a teenager who is now a 15 year old abolitionist fighting salvery throughout the world.  He raises funds by partnering with schools around North America.  The funds are used to buy the freedom of people, especially young people and children, held in slavery and bondage. LC2LC is in partnership with International Justice Missions.
